dat feel when u lose ur life

i have this external drive. i have everything in it. childhood memories, games, movies and all.

i don't have the money or the storage to back them up. if this external drive breaks, i have to start all over again.

apparently, that day has come.

the pc still detects the drive. meaning it's not a a hardware problem. other flash drives still work. meaning it's not the USB ports.

it's a software problem. i cannot fix this software problem. in "Disk Management" is is shown as offline. the drive being online is required to get the external drive allocated for a disk drive letter. (that is the problem. the external drive is not given a disk drive letter)

i can't make it online. i cannot initialize it. it says it is write protected.

i cannot remove the write protection since it is not assigned a disk drive letter = paradox

one problem will lead to another and it will lead to the previous problem.

but i do question the productivity of putting a IT question in deviantart.
